Shelter Dog Spends First Holiday Season with His Forever Family

If shelter dogs could make a wish, they'd ask Santa to help them find them forever homes for Christmas. This was certainly the case with Klaus, a sweet Shiloh Shepard who, at 7 years old, was the oldest dog at the Seattle Animal Shelter. All this good boy wanted was to spend the holidays with a family of his own.

Thankfully, Klaus, whom we wrote about in November for Adopt a Senior Pet Month, has had his wish granted early by Santa! According to the Seattle Animal Shelter, this "gentle giant" has finally been adopted. This year, Klaus will get to spend the holidays in his own forever home.

Congratulations, Klaus! Happy Howl-i-days!
